On Saturday, June 13, United Way Toronto's GenNext is inviting you
to show that you GiveADamn!
Join us at one of six United Way Toronto member agencies for a few hours of giving back, followed by a chance to get together and share experiences at Pravda Vodka Bar downtown.
Pick one of the following locations to participate in the activity there. Select your activity by registering for a ticket to that location above.
Activities:
Christie-Ossington Neighbourhood Centre - 973 Lansdowne Ave. (Lansdowne & Dupont) - Help with planting project, 10 am - 2 pm
Family Service Assocation - 25 Leonard Ave. (Bathurst & Dundas) - Prepare a barbeque lunch for residents, including setting up the lounge, serving lunch, clean-up, and restoring the lounge afterwards, 12 pm - 3 pm
Good Neighbours' Club - 170 Jarvis St. (Jarvis & Shuter) - Assist in serving lunch to Good Neighbours' Club clients, 11 am - 2 pm
Mid-Toronto Community Services - 192 Carlton St. (Carlton & Sherbourne) - Delivering meals to the homes of seniors and adults with diabilities in the downtown area through the Meals on Wheels program. It's not necessary to have a car, but definitely an asset! 11 am - 1:30 pm
Sistering (please note that due to the nature of this organization's work, only women can participate at this location) - 962 Bloor St. W. (Bloor & Dovercourt) - Assist with serving lunch, 11:15 am - 1:30 pm
Cost:
Please bring $5 cash to your activity location to cover registration for this event. You will be provided with a GiveADamn t-shirt! Please also dress appropriately for the activity in which you'll be participating, meaning be comfortable for outside work or standing for a few hours as necessary!
Afterwards!
Join us afterwards starting at 4 pm at Pravda Vodka Bar (44 Wellington St. East) for our post-volunteering gathering, chatting and fun! You're welcome to have friends and partners join you for this part of the day - please RSVP by selecting the "Pravda" ticket option above, in addition to your activity ticket.
